1. Who we are
WhatsApp Transcriptor is a service operated by Devlints PVT Ltd. The service helps users convert exported WhatsApp conversations into organized, searchable documents and downloadable export packages, with optional voice-note transcription and evidence-oriented export features.
WhatsApp Transcriptor is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information, such as your email address and authentication-related information.
- WhatsApp export ZIP files and the chat text, media, documents, voice notes and other attachments contained in those files.
- Export preferences, participant selections, transcription choices, language settings and edits you make to generated transcriptions.
- Order and billing metadata, such as the package purchased, amount, currency, payment status, transaction reference and purchase date.
- Technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, error information and basic server logs necessary to operate and secure the service.
- Messages you send to us when you contact support or otherwise communicate with us.
3. How we use information
We use information only for legitimate service, security, support and legal purposes, including to:
- Create previews, PDFs, transcription-enhanced exports and final downloadable packages.
- Extract and preserve media, attachments, timestamps, participant names and other information contained in the export you provide.
- Transcribe voice notes when you explicitly choose a package or option that includes transcription.
- Allow you to review and edit transcriptions before final export generation.
- Process purchases, prevent fraud, keep transaction records and provide customer support.
- Operate, secure, debug and improve the reliability and performance of the service.
- Comply with applicable law, enforce our terms and respond to lawful requests.
We do not use the contents of your uploaded WhatsApp conversations for advertising, behavioral profiling or to train our own machine-learning models.
4. WhatsApp files, media and transcription
Uploaded WhatsApp exports may contain highly personal information belonging to you and other conversation participants. We process this content only to provide the export features you request.
If you select voice-note transcription, the relevant audio files may be sent to an authorized transcription or AI service provider for processing. Only the data reasonably necessary to provide the selected transcription feature is submitted.
When available, the final package may include the generated PDF, original chat text, media, voice-note audio, a manifest, file hashes and other files required by the package you selected. Evidence-oriented features help organize and preserve information but do not guarantee legal admissibility in any court or jurisdiction.
5. Storage and deletion
We design the service to minimize how long uploaded conversation content remains on our systems.
- Source ZIP files, extracted media and voice notes are stored temporarily while your export is being processed or reviewed.
- After the final export package is successfully created, temporary source files and separately extracted media are scheduled for deletion and are not intended to be retained as a permanent archive.
- The completed export package may remain available for re-download for up to 7 days, after which it is scheduled for automatic deletion.
- Operational backups, caches or storage-provider deletion processes may take a limited additional period to fully expire, where technically necessary.
- Account information, transaction records, support correspondence and limited operational logs may be retained longer where needed to provide the service, maintain security, meet tax/accounting requirements, resolve disputes or comply with law.
You should download and securely store your final export before the download period ends. Once source files are deleted, we may be unable to regenerate the export or reopen the original chat for review.
6. Payments
Paid purchases are processed by an authorized payment provider. Where Paddle is used, Paddle may act as the merchant of record and process information required to complete your purchase, such as billing details, payment method information, tax information and transaction data.
We receive only the payment and order information necessary to confirm your purchase, provide the service, handle support and maintain our business records. We do not store full payment card numbers or card security codes on our servers.
Your payment provider processes personal data under its own privacy policy and legal obligations.
7. Service providers
We may use carefully selected service providers to operate the service. Depending on the features you use, these providers may include:
- Cloud hosting, object storage, database, email delivery and infrastructure providers.
- Payment and merchant-of-record providers such as Paddle.
- Transcription or AI processing providers when you request voice-note transcription.
- Security, error monitoring, analytics or support tools used to operate and protect the service.
These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their services for us and are subject to their own contractual and legal data-protection obligations. We do not sell your uploaded chat content or personal information.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or alteration. Measures may include HTTPS encryption in transit, restricted access, access controls, temporary storage, automated deletion and monitoring of service infrastructure.
No internet service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for downloading final exports to a device or storage location you trust.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, including under laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR or Brazil’s LGPD, you may have rights concerning your personal information. These may include the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, confirmation of processing or objection to certain processing.
You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent and to lodge a complaint with an applicable data-protection authority.

11. International processing
Our company and service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers and require service providers to protect personal information in accordance with applicable law.
12. User responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right and appropriate authority to upload, process and export the WhatsApp conversations and files you submit.
Because conversations may contain information about other people, you should consider privacy, confidentiality, contractual, employment and legal obligations before uploading content. Do not use the service to process content unlawfully or in violation of another person’s rights.
13. Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and address the matter.
14. Changes to this policy
Devlints PVT Ltd may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the service, our practices or applicable law. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date when changes are made.
